BGC offers several services to aid in designing the best possible irrigation or water harvesting system for your site.
Our site analysis services:
- Soil Sampling – gathering soil core samples, using a collection probe, from across your site so we can learn the soil structure and texture. Using this information we can make an informed decision on the best way(s) to irrigate your landscape.
- Soil Infiltration testing – sequence of measurements, using a dual ring infiltrometer, throughout your site to discover how quickly water penetrates the soil regardless of whether the water falls as rain or from an irrigation cycle. Based on this data we can determine the optimal rate to apply water to your landscape.
- Soil Moisture measuring – collecting a series of moisture readings, using a moisture sensor, from various points on your site so we can learn how well your soil retains water. This information can be used to assist in developing an appropriate water schedule for your landscape.
- Water Sampling – needed when a water source other than the local municipal water system is being considered for your irrigation system. We collect water samples from the proposed source and have them analyzed at an accredited laboratory. The results of analysis are used to determine what treatment the water may be need so it will be suitable for watering your landscape.
